Our Truckstop Employees Are Our First Customers

All across the country, unemployment levels are hitting record lows. In some communities, unemployment rates are as low as 2.5%, and while that is good news for the economy, it can make it harder and harder for business owners to find the top-quality employees they need. We are all aware of the massive driver shortage, but fleets aren’t the only ones facing a lack of workers. Many truckstops and travel plazas are as well. The help situation is critical in all of our locations. We have to attract and retain top talent in order to keep our customer-service levels high. More

Make Your Voice Heard

As NATSO members, we are all aware of how important it is that we make our voices heard, both collectively and individually. In May, many of us will take our message to Capitol Hill to share our first-hand insight into the issues that matter the most to the truckstop and travel plaza industry. Visiting Washington, D.C., as part of NATSO’s Day on the Hill is a powerful experience, but our connections with elected officials on the local, state and federal level are something we can foster year round. The Season of Giving

As we enter the Christmas season, I think we’re all filled with a spirit of giving. I know there are so many ways in which each of us, both personally and through our businesses, support those around us. Whether it is offering additional support to one of our employees who need it or giving to one of the many different national, regional or local philanthropic organizations, there are a number of ways to show we care.
