Coffee Promotions: Social Media

Text, tweet, post, blog! Social media is an inexpensive, flexible and easily traceable way to expand awareness and target the modern consumer. Most travelers today are equipped with laptops and minis and tablets and phones, and the growing millennial market is technically savvy and ever-connected.

Know your consumers. What media are they most frequenting? (Ask them!) Post a special loyalty offer online (“mention ‘mug Monday’ in store on 9/29 for a free travel mug”) or tweet a Snack Attack or Fuel Up special offer for Twitter users.

One large Southern fuel company reported great success with monthly text blast campaigns. Text club members who supply their number are sent a monthly special offer to their phone – they simply show the screen at checkout to redeem.
