The American Highway Users Alliance (AHUA), of which NATSO is a member, on July 29 released its preliminary analysis of America’s Transportation Infrastructure Act of 2019 (ATIA). AHUA congratulated the "Big 4" bipartisan leadership of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee – Chairman John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), Ranking Member Tom Carper (D-Del.), Transportation Subcommittee Chairman Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Ranking Member Ben Cardin (D-Md.) – on their bipartisan agreement to co-sponsor the bill.
NATSO members may log in to access AHUA’s preliminary analysis of the measure. It should be noted that AHUA obtained closed-door access to the text in advance of its public release on July 29. The following analysis was drafted by AHUA based upon that meeting. The Committee’s markup of the bill is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30.
