NATSO Joins Letter Opposing the Biden Administration's Proposed Overtime Threshold

Added on: March 13, 2024

Abstract:

NATSO joined a letter on March 6 in support of H.R. 7367, the Overtime Pay Flexibility Act, which would prohibit the Department of Labor (DOL) from finalizing, implementing, or enforcing its proposed rule that would reclassify of millions of employees from salaried to hourly workers. NATSO argued in the letter that the new standard is confusing, difficult to apply, and will invite unnecessary litigation and uncertainty. In the letter, NATSO argued DOL should revise its rule to promote maximum flexibility in structuring employee hours, encourage employees’ career advancement opportunities, and provide clarity for employers when classifying employees.
