Volunteer

NATSO’s member volunteers shape the association’s goals and priorities and carry the industry’s message to Capitol Hill. From volunteering for a committee to serving on the board, there are several ways to get involved at all levels of expertise and with varying time commitments.

New! NATSO’s Council of Experts
Active members drive NATSO forward, whether joining committees focused on government affairs or leadership development, serving on the NATSO or NATSO Foundation boards, or participating in our HR Share Group. However, in today’s fast-paced world not every busy professional has time to make a long-term volunteer commitment.

With that in mind in 2022, NATSO and the NATSO Foundation launched a new way to get engaged. Designed for today’s busy executive, the Council of Experts allows volunteers to opt-in to short-term opportunities as they arise throughout the year, selecting those that are the best match for their schedules and expertise. If you are interested in deepening your engagement with NATSO, tell us about yourself and your interests at www.natso.com/volunteersignup.

Leadership Development and Nominating
Members on the committee identify and nominate potential NATSO and foundation leaders, develop evaluation criteria for board members and volunteer leaders and market volunteer opportunities to potential leaders.

Research
The Research Committee recommends annual research priorities to the NATSO Board and the NATSO Foundation Board working within board-approved multi-year strategy. The NATSO Connect Advisory Council
The council provides an essential element to the success of NATSO Connect member input.

NATSO’s Board:
When calls for nominations come out, consider throwing your own hat in the ring for a term on the board.
