NATSO Briefs House Law Enforcement Subcommittee on Human Trafficking

NATSO Vice President of Public Affairs Tiffany Wlazlowski Neuman briefed the House Subcommittee on Law Enforcement May 13 about the industry’s longstanding program of work to counter human trafficking. Wlazlowski Neuman discussed NATSO’s partnerships with the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Bureau of Investigations, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Truckers Against Traffic and local law enforcement agencies, highlighting the programmatic ways truck stops and travel centers engage with federal, state and local enforcement agencies.
Subcommittee Chairman Clay Higgins (R-LA) held the roundtable discussion in honor of National Police Week 2026. Additional panelists included Karl A. Oakman, Chief of Police for the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department (KCKPD), Louisiana State Police Lieutenant Nicole Barbe and Mary Kate Andrepont, the Director of the Office of Human Trafficking Prevention within the Louisiana Governor’s Office.
