ALEXANDRIA, Va. — NATSO, the association representing America’s travel centers and truck stops, is pleased to welcome Surface Tech as a new Chairman’s Circle member.

Surface Tech provides asphalt pavement solutions for truck parking, fuel islands and roadways. Its patented aramid (Kevlar) fiber reinforcement technology is designed to enhance pavement performance by adding tensile strength, which a decade of testing shows improves pavement so it can better withstand commercial vehicle traffic and reduce long-term maintenance costs.

Surface Tech pioneered Aramid Reinforced Composite Asphalt (ARCA), an advanced pavement reinforcement technology designed to extend pavement life by reducing cracking, rutting and other forms of deterioration. The company also offers solutions tailored to the unique operating environments of fuel retailers, including its ARMI interlayer, which mitigates cracking in aging concrete when paired with an asphalt overlay, creating an impermeable, waterproof barrier and a durable “pave-over” solution for failing concrete.

“Truck stops and travel centers operate in a distinct environment where pavement materials can enhance safety, optimize traffic flow and advance overall business operations,” said NATSO Vice President of Public Affairs Tiffany Wlazlowski Neuman. “A significant part of NATSO’s value to its members is helping them to navigate their operational challenges and find business solutions that improve profitability. We are pleased to welcome Surface Tech as a Chairman’s Circle member.”

“Every investment a travel center operator makes needs to deliver long-term value, and pavement is no exception. Our technology helps operators improve the return on their infrastructure investments by extending pavement life and reducing maintenance over time,” said Surface Tech President Steve Santa Cruz. “We’re honored to join NATSO’s Chairman’s Circle and collaborate with industry leaders who are committed to building stronger, more resilient facilities.”

NATSO’s Chairman’s Circle is an exclusive group of industry suppliers committed to supporting travel center operators through innovative products and services. Chairman’s Circle members contribute invaluable resources and expertise, ensuring the association’s continued success in addressing industry challenges and promoting sustainable growth.
