08-31-2026The NATSO Foundation created a toolkit in collaboration with the NATSO Foundation’s 2026 Food and Beverage Steering Council to provide industry insights into successful food operations and best practices and serve as an inspiration as operations look for their next great idea in food service.
“Drivers and travelers are looking for food options that are fast, convenient, consistent and worth stopping for,” said Amy Toner, executive director of the NATSO Foundation. “This toolkit helps operators evaluate their foodservice programs through the customer’s eyes and identify opportunities to strengthen the overall travel center experience through food.”

08-04-2026The NATSO Foundation is pleased to announce it has awarded one $5,000 and two $2,500 educational scholarships through the Bill and Carolyn Moon Scholarship program to students with ties to the truck stop and travel center industry.
“Through the generosity of travel center companies, individuals, and vendor companies, the NATSO Foundation was able to provide these scholarships again,” said Amy Toner, Executive Director of the NATSO Foundation. “Donations are critical to maintaining this long-standing tradition.”

“Truck stops and travel centers play a critical role in keeping professional drivers, local communities and the traveling public moving safely,” said Amy Toner, executive director of the NATSO Foundation. “This toolkit is designed to help truck stop and travel center operators make safety part of everyday operations so everyone at the location feels protected and supported.”
