NATSO is packing even more learning into NATSO Connect 2018, Feb. 10-13 in Nashville, Tenn., with the addition of a bonus workshop that combines fundamental learning and game-show inspired education designed to help operators take their truckstop and travel plaza businesses from good to great.

The Good to Great Workshop, Monday, Feb. 12, will feature the learning and insights of three experienced industry professionals: Michael Lawshe, president of Paragon Solutions, Michael Ouimet, owner of Ouimet Consulting Group, and Darren Schulte, NATSO’s vice president of membership.

Lawshe designs show-stopping truckstops and travel plazas that attract customers and spur sales. Good design goes beyond colors and graphics and improves functionality as well as operations. During the session, Lawshe will use his insight to help operators uncover the latest design trends, learn how to use messaging to maximize sales and renovate to boost energy.

Ouimet operates travel center restaurants in 11 states and provides consulting work, which means he has first-hand knowledge on strengthening and improving operations. He will tap into his expertise to help operators understand how to decide on a food-service concept and how to set up a grab-n-go program. He also will discuss the food service metrics that operators should track to ensure they are making the most of their operations.

Schulte not only visits hundreds of truckstops and travel plazas each year but also has proven experience successfully managing truckstops. Each week, Schulte uses his knowledge to turn locations into unstoppable profitable machines with his truckstop merchandising expertise. At NATSO Connect 2018, Schulte will share his expertise on best practices in product placement, how to create a seasonal promotions program and information on what operators should consider when developing a rebate program.

Sometimes even small changes can have a drastic impact, and operators won’t want to miss the key takeaways from this fun-filled learning opportunity. To learn more about NATSO Connect and see the full slate of exciting speakers and activities, visit www.natsoconnect.com.
