Jason Nordin is Chief Executive Officer of TravelCenters of America, a bp company, a role he assumed on November 1, 2025. He is a seasoned executive with more than two decades of leadership experience across large‑scale retail, operations, and consumer‑facing businesses, with deep expertise in driving operational excellence, profitable growth, and cultural transformation.

Jason spent over 12 years at Pilot Company, one of the largest privately held companies in the U.S. and the leading operator of travel centers in North America. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for end‑to‑end operations across more than 670 travel centers and 630 quick‑service restaurants in the U.S. and Canada, leading 23,000 team members. During his tenure, Pilot grew store count by 30% and increased company profit by over 250%. Jason led significant improvements in inside sales, and strengthened guest service, employee retention, and in‑stock execution. He also modernized Pilot’s operating model (“One Best Way”), performance management systems, and merchandising and inventory capabilities, while integrating multiple acquisitions into the core business.

More recently, Jason spent approximately two years at Dollar Tree, Inc., serving as Chief of Stores for Dollar Tree where he led 106,000+ associates across 8,600+ stores, and later President of Family Dollar where he led 68,000+ associates across more than 7,600 stores for a $13B+ business. In these roles, he led large, geographically dispersed retail organizations through periods of transition, delivering improvements in sales trends, operating profit, and employee engagement.

Jason holds an MBA and MS in Engineering Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he graduated with distinction, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University.

Jason has been married for 30 years and has three sons, ages 23, 21, and 19, along with a rescue dog named Bear. He and his family live in Knoxville, Tennessee.
