Alexandria, Va. — NATSO, the national association representing truckstops and travel plazas, is pleased to announce that NATSO President and CEO Lisa Mullings has been appointed to serve on the 2017-2018 Research Advisory Committee (RAC) of the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI).

ATRI’s RAC is responsible for annually identifying the top research priorities for the trucking industry. RAC members represent a diverse cross-section of trucking industry stakeholders, including motor carriers, industry suppliers, commercial drivers, shippers, law enforcement, academia and government.

“Research and data are critical to guiding the business decisions of many members of the transportation sector,” said Mullings. “I am excited and honored to have this opportunity to serve on ATRI’s Research Advisory Committee to help ensure that we have the best data to guide us.”

Mullings will serve a two-year term on the 34-person committee.

“We look forward to Lisa’s involvement on ATRI’s Research Advisory Committee,” said ATRI President and COO Rebecca Brewster.

ATRI is the research arm of the American Trucking Associations (ATA).
