Mountains and More at L.W.'s Travel Plaza

Against a breathtaking backdrop of mountains in Logan, Utah, sits L.W.’s Travel Plaza.

Located off Interstate 15, the location has a store with merchandise for drivers and four-wheel traffic, a commercial drivers’ lounge, showers, fuel islands, a truck scale and a variety of food options.

Their food selections include a private deli called Longhorn Deli, which offers sandwiches, fried chicken, daily specials and breakfast items, a cooler of grab-n-go items as well as Dairy Queen with a drive through. There is sitting shared by all of the offerings.

The store is neatly laid out with big windows to bring in light and catch views of those stunning mountains. The transaction counter is placed to welcome guests from the diesel and gas islands.

Along the side of the location, they have a pet designated grassy area, which is used frequently.

Last September, while attending AMBEST, Darren Schulte and I had the pleasure of touring L.W.’s Travel Plaza with Brent Miller. While the location is exploring ownership changes, the photos are too good to not share.
