Convenience is still one of the leading coffee purchase drivers (second only to quality), so your coffee bar must quickly and efficiently meet the needs of your customers. With a majority of coffee buyers knowing in advance that they intend to purchase, you simply cannot afford to give them a reason to go elsewhere. That’s why it is critical to consistently maintain these three simple factors to maximize sales:
- Easily identified. Signage should be clearly visible from the entry point and should distinguish the coffee area from the rest of the store.
- Well stocked. Nearly 70% of coffee consumers use an add-on so a variety must be available, along with cups, lids and stirrers at every station.
- Neat and clean. Designate staff to keep the area clean during peak hours and provide easy access to waste receptacles.
