The Federal Hours-of-Service (HOS) exemptions related to COVID-19 originally issued in March of 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic expired at midnight Oct. 15.
10-17-2022The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) extended its waiver for Hours-of-Service (HOS) restrictions for haulers of gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, ethyl alcohol, and heating fuel including propane, natural gas, and heating oil until August 31, 2022. The May 27 announcement also explicitly added diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) to the list of covered fuels.
