NATSO NAMES MAX MCBRAYER CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Former RaceTrac, Inc. CEO Appointed President of NATSO and NATSO Foundation

ALEXANDRIA, VA. NATSO, representing the nation’s truck stops, travel centers, and off-highway fuel retailers, announced that Max McBrayer Jr., former CEO of RaceTrac, Inc. has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of NATSO and President of the NATSO Foundation effective July 1.

McBrayer succeeds Darren Boyd Schulte, who has served as Interim CEO since January 2025. Schulte will remain with the organization in his longstanding position as Vice President of Membership.

McBrayer brings more than four decades of leadership experience across the fuel retail and transportation energy sectors. A seasoned industry executive, McBrayer brings an extensive background in transportation energy, having served as the Chief Executive Officer of RaceTrac Petroleum, Inc., President of Metroplex Energy, and President of The Ethanol Corporation.

“I am honored to assume the role of NATSO President and CEO at such a pivotal time for the industry and the association,” McBrayer said. “I am committed to working with NATSO’s Board of Directors and the Leadership Team to execute a strategic framework that will drive sustainable growth while strengthening member relationships, positioning NATSO for the future while ensuring the association meets the needs of its members.”

Wlazlowski Neuman leads NATSO and the NATSO Foundation’s public affairs initiatives and communications strategies to promote the truck stop and travel center industry to the public, opinion leaders, elected officials, and the media. Her outreach includes a spectrum of policy issues facing the industry, with a particular focus on transportation and fuel issues, truck parking, and human trafficking. She serves as NATSO’s representative on the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Truck Parking Coalition, the Clean Freight Coalition, and various state truck parking technical advisory committees. She is the architect of the truck stop and travel center industry’s anti-human trafficking campaign and currently serves as a Committee member for the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Human Trafficking Advisory Council. Wlazlowski Neuman serves on the American Highway Users Policy and Government Affairs Committee.
