Hurricane Watch: Sally Intensifies; NATSO Monitors Declarations of Emergency

/

Hurricane Sally intensified to a Category 2 storm by late Sept. 14, moving toward Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi. The storm was forecast to push “life-threatening” surges of up to 11 feet and produce tremendous rainfall.

NATSO continues to monitor for updated declarations of emergency and other announcements of importance to NATSO members.

The storm is expected to bring 70 to 100 mph winds between the coasts of southeast Louisiana and Alabama, a part of the Gulf Coast that is extremely vulnerable to storm surge flooding,

Below is an updated listed of emergency declarations, waivers and other emergency documents issued by Federal and State agencies.

NATSO will continue to monitor Hurricane Sally and provide updates to its members as they become available.

NATSO has prepared a list of Hurricane resources to help members prepare for and recover from the storm. Those resources can be found here.
