10-11-2018 by NATSO Hurricane Update: Waivers and Emergency Measures Continue

Evan as Hurricane Michael made landfall in the Florida panhandle Oct. 10, marking one of the strongest storms to hit that area in more than 100 years, state and the federal government continued to issued emergency declarations and implement emergency preparation plans.

Kentucky and North Carolina marked the latest states to declare states of emergency and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) extended its regional emergency declaration covering the Carolinas and Virginia.
