Committee Chairmen are in place for the 114th Congress, with House Republicans formally picking Bill Shuster (R-Penna.) to again chair the Transportation Committee.
House Democrats voted unanimously for Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) to serve as the committee’s ranking member, succeeding Nick Rahall (D-W.Va.) who was defeated in the election.
