Finding and Fostering Great Ideas with NATSO

/

Technology is changing, the retail experience is changing and customers needs are changing. That means NATSO members must observe the trends and innovate to remain relevant.

Finding and applying great ideas has become so important.

The good news is NATSO provides many ways to gather ideas.

NATSO creates a forum to gather great ideas.

During NATSO Connect every year, independent operators come together to learn from each other during The Great Ideas! for Independent Operators Workshop. They share best practices and the little things they are doing to make the retail experience better for their customers.

Download the NATSO Connect Great Ideas Workshop Ideas-To-Go Kit from 2018 here.

NATSO offers pictures and ideas from all over the country.

NATSO members can go on a virtual truckstop tour by tapping into the NATSO blog and reading about the many locations Darren Schulte, NATSO’s vice president of membership, has visited and reviewed.

Most weeks you can find Schulte visiting a NATSO member truckstop location, spending three to four days using his merchandising and operations expertise to help the owners and managers grow their business. He shares the great ideas from those visits on NATSO's blog.

NATSO provides truckstops with a roadmap to success.

Speaking of those trips Schulte takes to use his merchandising and operations expertise to help truckstops grow their business — through the Profitable Retail Review program, NATSO provides a custom truckstop assessment, including recommendations for every aspect of the facility, from actionable ideas to improve revenue to tactical ways to reduce your net operating costs.

NATSO offers truckstop study tours.

NATSO offers structured study tours in which operators visit with their peers and other well-run retail establishments. Attendees learn the things the tour locations are doing well and gather concrete steps on how to implement the ideas at their own locations.
