During the Good to Great Session at NATSO Connect, the other panelists and I shared some of our favorite examples of locations that are doing things well. I took the opportunity to highlight COPEC, a Chilean energy company with a chain of fueling stations throughout Chile.
We visited some COPEC locations as part of the NATSO international study tour. During the Good to Great Session, I shared plenty of photos with attendees, but want to share even more here so you can see the COPEC experience for yourself.
COPEC limits trade downs, and you won’t find a variety of the same items. They’re trying to raise the share of wallet they capture with every transaction.
One of the best things about COPEC is that they understand their customers. They use this to shape their product offerings, location layout and the customer experience.
As I said after returning from the study tour, if you are looking for an organization within the fuel, food and retail segment to best practice, look no further than COPEC, the masters of the ordinary done extraordinarily well.
