EPA Moves Forward With Tier 3 Rule to Reduce Sulfur in Gasoline

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said it will move forward with its Tier 3 rule that will limit the amount of sulfur in U.S. gasoline by two-thirds and impose fleetwide pollution limits on new vehicles by 2017. EPA aims to reduce the allowable sulfur content in gasoline from 30 parts per million to 10 ppm. More
