South Carolina Legislation Proposes Tolls on I-95

Lawmakers in South Carolina have introduced legislation calling for tolls on a portion of Interstate 95 in the state. Sen. Bradley Hutto and Sen. Kevin Johnson introduced the bill, which would implement a toll along I-95 where it crosses Lake Marion in either Orangeburge or Clarendon County. Hutto said that because Interstate 95 is a federal highway, all money collected through the toll would go toward repairs and improvements on Interstate 95 only. More
