Senate Republicans do not have their own version of an infrastructure package and continue to focus on negotiating changes to an FAA reauthorization bill.

NATSO continues to monitor plans for an infrastructure package and meet with lawmakers to educate them about the negative impacts that tolling existing interstates and commercializing rest areas would have on interstate-based businesses such as truckstops and travel plazas, as well as truck parking.

Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), Chairman of the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, recently said Congressional work on President Trump’s $1 trillion infrastructure package may be pushed until early next year.
