Get Active with NATSO and the NATSO Foundation on NATSO’s Council of Experts

Active members drive NATSO forward, whether joining committees focused on government affairs or leadership development, serving on the NATSO or NATSO Foundation boards, or participating in our HR Share Group. However, in today’s fast-paced world not every busy professional has time to make a long-term volunteer commitment.

With that in mind in 2022, NATSO and the NATSO Foundation launched a new way to get engaged. Designed for today’s busy executive, the Council of Experts allows volunteers to opt-in to short-term opportunities as they arise throughout the year, selecting those that are the best match for their schedules and expertise.

Whether you have ample time or very little, are a seasoned executive or an emerging leader, represent a supplier or a travel center, NATSO has an opportunity to help you strengthen your network, your brand and your industry.

How Does NATSO’s Council of Experts Work?
Periodically, I’ll email Council members when “micro-volunteer” opportunities arise, so the experts can opt-in to opportunities that fit their expertise and schedule. For example, NATSO will turn to the Council for volunteers to:

  • Call a member seeking operational advice;
  • Exchange insights with a handful of members on a virtual coffee;
  • Share expertise in an interview for Stop Watch magazine;
  • Speak at a NATSO Connect breakout session; or
  • Voice perspectives to NATSO’s CEO and staff on emerging industry issues.

Ready to Volunteer Alongside Your NATSO Peers? Here is How.
If you are interested in deepening your engagement with NATSO, tell us about yourself and your interests at www.natso.com/volunteersignup.

NATSO will review applications year-round to match members with volunteer opportunities.
