EPA Seeks Public Comment on Possible RFS Waiver

EPA is seeking public comment on whether to suspend the Renewable Fuels Standard.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is seeking public comment on whether to suspend the Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS) following pressure from four state governors and more than 150 lawmakers amid the summer drought. In mid-July, EPA said it absolutely would not consider a waiver of the RFS. The 30-day comment period will begin once the notice is published in the Federal Register.
