AMBEST is Thanking Truckstop Employees

As thank you to their members for doing their part during the COVID-19 pandemic, AMBEST, the nationwide network of independent truckstops and service centers, has increased their weekly cash payments to truckstop employees and started a “Stories of Hope” campaign.

“AMBEST exists to serve independent travel centers and service centers across America. Being able to give back and say a special ‘thank you’ to the cashiers, managers, service writers and owners is one of many ways we acknowledge the hard and often hazardous work being done by these frontline employees. Without them, the professional drivers that keep this country rolling would not be able to do their jobs,” said Steve Allen, AMBEST president.

Cash Drawings Thank Employees #ThankATruckstopEmployee
To thank the hundreds of employees who work at AMBEST affiliated independent truckstops, they’ve increased their cashier weekly $150 drawing from four to six as part of their AMBUCK$ program.  “It is a thank you to the frontline workers,” said Kevin Neely, director of marketing for AMBEST. “We send out a notification each week and the cashiers have loved it. They have had a sense of thank you. For some of these folks, $150 really helps.”

AMBEST also started giving away $150 for two managers. “As a thank you to managers, for being there and leading, we added this in,” continued Neely.

Partner to Points also randomly draws and gives four cashiers each $50 weekly.

Stories of Hope
AMBEST is also asking drivers to share their “Stories of Hope” at www.am-best.com/stories. Drivers that share are given AMBUCK$ points.

They have received more than 50 stories. According to Neely, the theme of the stories is one of hope and unity. “People are being so thankful and grateful that they are open. It has been overwhelmingly positive,” he said.

With all the challenges associated with COVID-19, drivers are very thankful to see small businesses be open.

“We aren’t allowed to see our members face to face. We are all working remotely. We are doing whatever we can to keep these guys open,” Neely said.
