Added on: November 5, 2021

Abstract:

NATSO on Nov. 3 joined 95 trade associations that represent the supply chain in sending an open letter to President Biden in response to recent supply chain disruptions. The letter offered solutions to the current supply chain disruptions, which include enacting a pilot program to attract professional drivers like the one that is the Infrastructure Investment Jobs Act (IIJA), promoting careers in the transportation industry, providing flexibility in vaccine mandates, offering relief from hours of service regulations, and investigating inefficiencies in the country’s ports.
