NATSO Submits Statement for House Transportation Committee Hearing on COVID-19

Abstract:

NATSO on June 9, 2020, submitted a statement for the record in advance of the House and Infrastructure Committee hearing examining the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on transportation workers. In its statement, NATSO addressed the essential role of truckstops and travel plazas, the difficulties posed by the patchwork of state and local health regulations, concerns surrounding dine-in restaurant closures, employee retention and hiring, the need for reasonable liability protection and the need for infrastructure investment. The hearing is scheduled to be held June 9 at 1 p.m Est.
