NATSO Opposes Debit Swipe Fee Repeal

Added on: July 11, 2019

Abstract:

Since passage of debit reform, consumers have saved nearly $6 billion each year, and over
37,000 jobs have been supported each year because of the associated savings. Despite these
benefits to consumers, H.R. 10, the Financial CHOICE Act, contains a provision that would repeal the
debit swipe fee reform. NATSO urges Congress to vote for an amendment to strip a repeal of debit swipe fee reform out of the CHOICE Act.
