Fuel Retailers, Biodiesel Producers and Consumers Applaud House Legislation to Extend the Biodiesel Tax Credit

Alexandria, Va. -- NATSO, the national association representing truckstops and travel plazas, along with the Advanced Biofuels Association (ABFA), American Trucking Associations (ATA), National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS), and Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America (SIGMA) -- representing the entire biodiesel supply chain -- today commended a bipartisan group of lawmakers for introducing legislation to extend the biodiesel tax credit. The legislation is sponsored by Congresswoman Abby Finkenauer (D-IA), as well as Representatives Ron Kind (D-WI), Dave Loebsack (D-IA), Darin LaHood (R-IL), Danny Davis (D-IL), Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), Cheri Bustos (D-IL) and others.

NATSO Foundation Releases Toolkit on How to Combat Human Trafficking

The NATSO Foundation today released a “Combating Human Trafficking” toolkit as a resource for members of the truckstop and travel center industry. The NATSO Foundation’s latest resource offers truckstops and travel centers a roadmap for implementing an anti-human trafficking education and awareness program at their individual locations. In releasing the toolkit, the NATSO Foundation also introduced a 50-state chart of human trafficking awareness poster laws. The chart is designed to help truckstops and travel centers understand how to comply with state laws on human trafficking awareness.

NATSO, Alternative Fuels Council Introduce Education Workshop on Profitable Strategies for Renewable Fuels NATSO

NATSO, the national association representing truckstops and travel plazas, announced that it will host an educational workshop at NATSO Connect 2019, Feb. 10-13 in Orlando, Florida, titled “Renewable Fuels Master Class.” The workshop will help NATSO members implement profitable strategies related to alternative fuel supply options and fuel infrastructure. The workshop will be co-hosted by NATSO’s Alternative Fuels Council, which NATSO started earlier this year to better enable its members to understand alternative fuel markets and incentives and incorporate those fuels into their fuel supply. The workshop in Orlando will focus on blending and selling renewable fuels such as biodiesel and ethanol.
