Where Is Iced Coffee Consumed?

Regionally, the Western U.S. states lead the way in iced coffee consumption, followed closely by the Northeast. The South falls next with the Midwest having the lowest ranking(1).

Regionally, the Western U.S. states lead the way in iced coffee consumption, followed closely by the Northeast. The South falls next with the Midwest having the lowest ranking(1).

While iced tea is a social beverage, consumed evenly alone or with others, the majority of away-from-home iced coffee is consumed alone(1).

A combined total of 68% of iced coffee is either drive-through or to-go(1) making ease of portability a must.

Traditional coffee and donut shops are still the most common sources for coffee(1), with menu mentions at limited service showing 5% growth from first quarter 2012 to 2013(2).
