While 2013 showed a decline in both canned soft drink and juice sales, iced tea showed the largest growth by number of servings.(1)

Flavored iced teas continue to grow in popularity with the most common menu mentions including raspberry, lemon, peach, mango and strawberry with raspberry, vanilla and lemon flavors showing high growth in recent years.(2)

Tea has been recently positioned as a relaxant and stress reliever, with unique new flavors trending like Lemongrass, Ginger, Cardamom and Cinnamon – even spicy flavors such as Chili(3) to appeal to the growing Hispanic market.
