Appeals Court Removes OSHA ETS Stay; Travel Centers Should Prepare to Comply Members Only Join or Login

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit on Dec. 17 dissolved the 5th Circuit’s stay of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (“OSHA’s”) Emergency Temporary Standard (“ETS”), which imposes a “vaccine or test” requirement for private employers. Within two hours, the case was appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court with a request that the stay be reinstituted, pending Supreme Court review of the merits. More

U.S. Representative Glenn “GT” Thompson on Dec. 15 hosted a meeting with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to voice his concerns over the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) plan to toll nine major bridges throughout Pennsylvania. Rep. Thompson said it was revealed during the meeting that PennDOT has been in consultation with FHWA for more than a year and recently filed paperwork expressing its interest in receiving more than $5 billion in financing for the projects.
