The Transportation Industry Mobility and Technology Coalition and the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) will sponsor a free webinar on truck parking issues and innovative ways to address them. The webinar will feature FHWA Freight Operations Manager Tom Kearney; ATRI Vice President Dan Murray; Vassilios Morellas, Program Director, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Minnesota; and Gnosis Management COO and Founder Dave Miller. It will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, 2–3:30 p.m. EST. Click here to register.

For the first time, truck parking appeared on the American Transportation Research Institute's (ATRI) 2012 Top Industry Issues Survey. The coalition believes until new funding is identified for expanding truck parking capacity, the best solution is providing real-time information to truck drivers on existing parking availability.
