New York Assembly Re-introduces "Jason's Law"

Legislation titled “Jason’s Law” was re-introduced in the New York State Assembly in January aimed at helping provide truck drivers with places to rest while waiting for pending appointments or to comply with federal hours-of-service regulations. The legislation would provide interest-free loans for safety and security improvement projects to owners and operators of private rest areas, truck stops, travel plazas, and any other facility providing motor carriers with a safe place to rest. The state bill is referred to the states transportation committee.
