Marking the latest company to explore the growing consumer trend of mobile payments, McDonald’s Corp. announced it is testing a mobile payments service with PayPal in 30 locations in France. McDonald's customers can order food on smartphones through a McDonald's application, or online, and then pay for their food with PayPal via either the mobile app or a web browser. The concept could spread to the company's 33,500 locations worldwide if it likes the results.
