NATSO is urging its members to join the Alliance for Toll-Free Interstates (ATFI), a broad-based coalition of individuals, businesses and organizations opposed to tolling existing interstates.
NATSO and the American Trucking Associations are founding members of the Alliance, which has grown to include restaurants, the moving and storage industry, vehicle rental industry, motorists and motorcyclists and individual citizens opposed to tolls.
With the debate over the next highway transportation bill well underway now on Capitol Hill, it is critical that NATSO members voice their opposition to funding schemes such as tolls that divert traffic onto less safe, secondary roads.
ATFI members believe that a viable, sustainable solution to America’s transportation funding needs must not include putting new tolls on existing interstates.
