AAA, the nation's largest automobile club, is urging regulators and fuel producers to stop the sale of E-15, a gasoline blend containing 15 percent ethanol, citing the potential for consumer confusion, voided warranties and vehicle damage. AAA said most vehicles aren't approved by manufacturers to run on E15, which was approved by the Environmental Protection Agency in June. By filling up using E15, consumers risk damaging vehicles and voiding warranties, AAA said. Ethanol supporters said AAA's concerns were misplaced.

So far, E-15 has only been offered at 10 gas stations nationwide, despite the product getting EPA approval to be sold in model year 2001 and later vehicles.
