States Continue to Propose Tax Changes to Fund Infrastructure

The number of states considering tax changes to fund infrastructure continues to grow. In Illinois, the Transportation for Illinois Coalition is pushing legislation to replace the current 19-cents-a-gallon motor fuel tax with a 9.5 percent wholesale tax.

EPA in consultation with the U.S. Department of Energy has issued a waiver for reformulated gasoline (RFG) in 16 states and the District of Columbia to prevent disruptions of the supply of RFG in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
