NATSO Welcomes Darren Schulte as Vice President, Membership
February 18, 2012
NATSO President and CEO Lisa Mullings announced today the appointment of Darren Schulte as the association’s new Vice President of Membership.
“Darren brings a wealth of knowledge about the truckstop and travel plaza industry,” said Mullings. “Combined with his retail merchandising, marketing and operations experience, Darren will be a valuable asset as we work to provide our members with new resources and educational opportunities. We are thrilled to have Darren on board and welcome him to NATSO.”
Schulte joins NATSO with nearly three decades of experience in truckstop and travel plaza operations and merchandising, most recently as the Vice President for Retail Merchandising for TSC Global/Barjan LLC.
As NATSO’s Vice President of Membership, Schulte will work alongside NATSO Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, Pamela Hayes, to develop and enhance products and services in the areas of education, research and training for truckstop and travel plaza operators.
Schulte also will be responsible for member recruitment and retention as well as soliciting truckstop and travel plaza participation in NATSO events and programs.
Prior to his time with TSC Global/Barjan LLC, Schulte also worked for Petro Stopping Centers and Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores.
