Last month, we had some fantastic content on NATSO's blog...
In August, Darren Schulte shared two posts in his blog series, Darren’s Great Ideas! for Independent Operators! The biweekly column provides digestible retail tips by Darren, NATSO’s vice president of membership. Darren discussed:

Drive Truckstop Retail Sales Through Larger Product Sizes: Darren’s second Great Ideas blog post this month continues his exploration into different strategies to increase retail sales. Read the blog post to learn about driving sales through larger product sizes by looking at candy bars and beverage sales.
Darren also writes regularly on timely subjects. Last month he explored the demise of the brick and mortar store and what it means for truckstops in the Truckstop of the Future.
He also wrote on Fast Casual Food at Truckstops, exploring the food service trend of less full-service sit-down restaurants and more fast-causal restaurants along with additional expanded grab-n-go food service offerings.
Tiffany Wlazlowski kept us up-to-date on the fight against tolls with Opposition to Tolls Growing for Good Reason and Dispute Over I-95 Tolls Heats Up.
Last month we also had our first guest blog post from a NATSO Chairman’s Circle member Thought Leader! Read Biodiesel Is “Resilient Face of Agriculture” and Supply Opportunity for Truck Stop Operators by Jon Scharingson of Renewable Energy Group.
