The National Labor Relations Board's rule requiring employers to post notices of an employee's right to unionize is on hold, after a federal court in Washington, D.C., issued a temporary injunction.

According to the NLRB website, the rule will not take effect until the legal issues are resolved. There is no new deadline for the posting requirement at this time.

A federal district court in South Carolina last week struck down the NLRB's rule, ruling that the NLRB does not have the authority to require employers to post the notice.
