Focus on Ahead-of-the-Curve Trends at The NATSO Show

The 2012 NATSO Show is packed with keynote sessions led by innovative experts focused on ahead-of-the-curve trends. Tuesday, Feb. 21 features keynote sessions on topics on every truckstop and travel plaza operator's mind —tomorrow's technology and the future of trucking.

In the '90s, pay-at-the pump changed the way shoppers paid for fuel. Now, new payment technologies such as radio-frequency-identification systems, Google Wallet, and E.M.V. chip debit and credit cards are changing the way consumers pay for goods and shaping the hardware and software retailers install. Attendees at this morning session, Tomorrow’s Technology: Keynote and Breakfast on the Show Floor, will hear which technologies will revolutionize the industry in the future.

2012 is shaping up to be a momentous year for the trucking industry. The highway funding bill, truck driver shortage and hours-of-service regulations are just a few of the issues hanging in the balance for trucking fleets. On Feb. 21, Dan Murray, Vice President of Research for the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI); Gary Salisbury, President and CEO of Fikes Truck Lines and Chairman of the Truckload Carriers Association; Randy Sutton, Field Recruiter for Jones Motor Group, and Kenny Vieth, President and Senior Analyst with ACT Research, will participate in a panel discussion designed to answer your questions about the biggest trends expected to shape the industry in the coming year as well as provide insight into how truckstops and travel plazas can better serve their truck driver customers.
