NATSO Asks Congress for Additional LUST Funding
NATSO has signed on to a letter to House and Senate appropriators
asking them to consider additional funding for EPA’s leaking
Underground Storage Tank (LUST) program.
Currently the budget request for FY 2010 is $113 million. NATSO,
joined NACS, SIGMA, PEI and several environmental groups in requesting
that appropriators consider expanding the program to help fund some of
the new responsibilities for EPA and state UST agencies that were
created with the passage of the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
