Highlights of The NATSO Show 2008

The NATSO Show 2008 at Disney Coronado Springs Resort Jan. 26-30 was the perfect opportunity for truckstop and travel plaza owners and operators to gain the knowledge needed to help grow their businesses. Attendees had the chance to catch-up with their peers, explore new products with industry suppliers and vendors, and learn from industry experts.

NATSO is busy working on The NATSO Show 2009, which will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn. Jan. 24-28. Learn more here.

Dan Alsaker Awards the Chairman's Medal


During the Opening Session, NATSO Chairman Dan Alsaker presented the Chairman’s Medal to Ed Flynn, owner of Flynn’s Truck Plaza in Shrewsbury, Mass. The award is given at the discretion of the chairman to an individual who has shown outstanding leadership, strength of vision and dedication to NATSO.

 

Going Back to School with NATSO U

Attendees were able to attend over 13 different business forums ranging from tobacco sales to the future of the trucking industry.

Networking Opportunites

At the Fellowship Breakfast Nat Moore, a former Miami Dolphin and a member of the Football Hall of Fame, spoke to attendees about never giving up and how having unique ideas gives businesses strength.

 

The NATSO Finale Event and Disney Celebration

The show ended with a private celebration at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Guests were able to feast on an endless buffet of food and ride the main attraction roller coaster, Expedition Everest, which was only open to NATSO attendees.

  Hunt Brother Pizza: Best of Show

 

 NATSO Congratulates the Booth Winners

A select group of truckstop and travel plaza attendees were able to serve as judges in the Best in Show competition in search of the best booth. There was fierce competition among the hundreds of booths.

Hunt Brothers Pizza received the Best in Show award with Shell Rotella taking first place and AMBEST coming in second.

The NATSO Foundation

The NATSO Foundation held several fundraising events during The NATSO Show, including the Foundation Golf Invitational and two auctions.
