Great ideas were the name of the game at the Great
Ideas! Session sponsored by NATSN.
Independent operators shared their top tips on what is
working at their location and the challenges they are taking on during
the coming year. The information helped inspire new ways of doing
business. Attorney Chris Coleman was on hand to give operators the
latest litigation update and Certified Public Accountant Francis Bologna
showed the value of shortening the cash cycle. Ray Rowan,
President of PRS Incorporated, also discussed the relationship between
carrier diesel gallons, negotiated deals and transaction fees, sharing
techniques to manage cost variables
and maximize profitability. Attendees walked away with
practical strategies they can take back to their business and start
implementing immediately.
Attendees walked away with
dozens of money-saving ideas. Bobby Berkstresser of Lee Hi Travel Plaza
said he could save hundreds of dollars a month on phone bills by
implementing just one idea that came out of the session. Dan
Alsaker of Broadway Truck Stops said, “There wasn’t one
person in that room who didn’t get his trip paid for with the
suggestions that were given.”
