NATSO Day on Capitol Hill 2008
More than 50 NATSO
members came to Washington D.C. to participate in NATSO Day on the Hill
April 27-29. Members held meetings with various congressional offices to
inform their legislators on issues affecting the industry such as
tolling, credit card fees and high gas prices. The event concluded with
the eleventh annual pie reception, which was a chance for members,
Congressmen and congressional staff to enjoy homemade pies donated
from local NATSO member truckstops and travel plazas.
Whether or not you particpated in NATSO Day on Capitol Hill, NATSO
encourages all members to write their Congressmen to educate them on the
issues that matter most to your business. As a NATSO member, you are
eligible to sign up for Capitol Connection, an online center where NATSO
prepares legislative alerts and letters for you to send to your
Congressmen with just a click of your mouse. Visit NATSO's Capitol Connection
here. For further information or questions, contact Vice President
of Government Affairs, Holly Alfano at halfano@natso.com.
