Hurricane Gustav Update

Updated 9.3.08

The Department of Energy (DOE) is releasing daily situation reports on Hurricane Gustav. One important highlight of today's report (Sept. 3) is that Colonial's main distillate line between Houston, Texas and Greensboro, North Carolina resumed service Tuesday (Sept. 2). The line resumed after being idle for several hours due to a lack of supply. The main gasoline line continues to operate at reduced rates as do stub lines on the Colonial system. Click here to read the full report.

NATSO received reports earlier this week of locations that closed in accordance with the evacuation directives of local authorities, or due to power outages and other concerns. Professional drivers should check the Web sites of truckstops and travel plazas or call ahead for the latest information on access and availability. NATSO will continue to monitor the situation and update members accordingly.

Members affected by the storm can update NATSO on their location status. Please e-mail or fax this form to NATSO.
